Everett flies to CF on a 1-0 pitch, Biggio pops up to 3B on the 1st pitch, Bagwell draws a 4 pitch walk (he's still got that batting eye), and Ensberg grounds out to 3B. Milton doesn't walk too many guys, so hopefully we'll be fairly aggressive, although that doesn't mean popping out on the 1st pitch.

6 pitch inning for Pettitte, 2 ground outs to the right side and pop to Bagwell. Gotta love that efficiency.

Lane K's on 3 pitches, Burke falls behind 0-2 but fouls off a few pitches, takes a ball, fouls off another pitch, and grounds out to 3B, Ausmus grounds to 2B on the 1st pitch.

Randa lines out hard to CF, Kearns K's, Pena K's. Pettitte is looking sharp - I think he's looked solid all year. Garner actually made an intelligent comment, too - he's not worried about Pettitte's velocity, because it's gradually increasing, and a pitcher who's throwing hard coming off surgery might find that their muscles aren't completely ready for the strain. So he's going to patient with Pettitte.

Pettitte gives up 3 runs in the bottom of the 4th - it could have been worse, but Chris Burke made a nice catch in LF to double off Sean Casey - then Wily Mo Pena hit a grounder through the hole and Aurilia hit a little blooper over Biggio.

Burke leads off the top of the 5th with a single, and Ausmus doubles to deep right center to drive him in! Holy crap! Then Taveras flies out, Pettitte K's, Everett grounds out on a 3-0 pitch (what the HELL is Everett doing swinging at a 3-0 pitch??)

Milton grounds out to Pettitte, Jimenez lines out hard to Biggio, Griffey rips a double over Lane's head (barely), Casey rips a single up the middle. Pettitte's not fooling anybody anymore, but hopefully he can get Randa here. And he does, on a grounder to 3B on the 1st pitch.

Biggio K's, Bagwell lines out to center, Ensberg has a great 12-pitch AB after falling behind 0-2 and walks. Hell of a job, Morgan. Then Lane rips one to LF...just foul. Wah. Lane K's on a checked swing. Milton has thrown 84 pitches, though; hopefully we'll get to the bullpen pretty soon.

Terrible bottom of the 6th - with Milton haven thrown 80+ pitches, Burke pops out on the 1st pitch, Ausmus grounds out to SS on a 3-1 count (Why are Everett and Ausmus swinging on 3-0 or 3-1 counts??), and Taveras K's, and looks bad doing so. Pettitte gets through the 7th, looking pretty strong. His final line: 7 IP, 8 H, 3 BB, 3 K. He looked pretty solid again - a few bloopers fell in. Now we need our offense to step up.
