taveras takes even fewer pitches/PA than everett - i know, i been counting. and everett will at least take a walk - has 2 more than taveras (not counting the IBB) so speed or no speed, you can't steal first. everett took more walks in the minors, but he never hit leadoff, that i know of. actually, ausmus has the most pitches/PA of any astro so far...
IF you put biggio back at leadoff, where you gonna put everett, taveras and ausmus in the lineup? you have 3 guys with no power, obp < 350 and few walks...
