Starting lineups for the Sunday 4/17 game (very interesting today):
Houston:
Burke (2B)
Viz (SS)
Bagwell
Lamb (LF)
Ensberg
Lane (CF)
Scott (RF)
Chavez
Duckworth
Cincy:
Jimenez
Griffey Jr.
Casey
Randa
Dunn
Pena
Lopez
LaRue
Harang
So Duckworth's reward for his 1st start this year is to have one of our worst possible defenses behind him. Viz at SS is pretty rough, but what's really strange is that Duckworth is more of a flyball pitcher, and he gets Lamb / Lane / Scott in the outfield? Yech. I feel sorry for the guy. Sure hope we can get some offense going.

Burke walks and Viz singles to lead off, but Bagwell K's looking and Lamb K's swinging and Burke gets thrown out at 3rd on a 3-2 pitch. Shame we couldn't score, but Harang didn't look too sharp - we should be able to get some runs. Duckworth gets Jimenez and Griffey on groundouts (a good sign with our OF defense today), Casey singles (another grounder, though), and Randa HR's. Oops.
Through 3 innings, Duckworth has looked very good except for the HR to Randa - he's retired 7 straight, and is keeping the ball down and his off-speed stuff looks pretty good. Unfortunately for him, we're making Aaron Harang look pretty damn good - he has 7 K's through 3 innings, and we haven't done anything since leading off the game with a walk and a single. Viz / Bagwell / Lamb this inning.
Viz doubles (nice swing, I gotta admit), Bagwell singles (2-1, Reds), Lamb pops out, Ensberg K's (too patient sometimes!), then Lane rips an opposite field HR on an outside fastball. 3-2, Astros. Scott flies out.
You're still talking to yourself... I'm going to Krystals in a few minutes... expect a call momentarily.
